I was born at Howard Young Medical Center. I attended school in the Minocqua area before going on to attend The University of Stevens Point, graduating in 1989 with degrees in both Business and Psychology. Immediately upon graduation I began work at Williams Realty of Minocqua, Inc. and married my best friend - Brian K. Thompson. I obtained the CRB (Certified Residential Brokerage), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), and GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designations between 1993-1998 and obtained my ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) designation in 2008. Through the years of 1989 - 2006 not only was I producing in the real estate market & obtaining my professional designations, I was also growing a beautiful family. I have been blessed to have 3 daughters; Mariah, Alissa, and Olivia. Hands full with the women in his life, my husband, Brian not only helps with raising the girls, he also assists me with real estate errands that seem to accumulate daily and is currently a successful EMT I.

In 2006, we sold our family business, Williams Realty of Minocqua, to First Weber Group. I continued to work in sales and managed the office for 1 year at which point I decided I needed to make a change. I am still doing the things that I love to do --- selling real estate and spending quality time with my family. I have been very fortunate to be a TOP PRODUCING agent in the Northwoods market for years, appearing consistently in the top 15 brokers of the 350+ in our MLS area. On February 7th, 2008, I created a team called 'Northwoods BeST Real Estate’. You will see that by adding a small 'e' to my initials 'BST' the word 'BeST' is formed! The lower case ‘e’ represents my husband Brian in “EVERYTHING” he does for me and family. I feel I have been taught by the very BEST - Joan T. Seramur and I hope to pass on my teachings to customers and clients alike.
